Washoku, registered as a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage in 2013, is Japan’s culinary culture nurtured in the abundant natural environment and diverse culture of the archipelago. With plentiful realia and cutting-edge interactive media art, the exhibition is a multifaceted approach to the world of washoku, from prehistoric Jomon times to the present and into the future.
