Suzu, located at the tip of the Noto Peninsula, is a beautiful and rich Satoyama and Satoumi area designated as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS). With its natural environment as a backdrop, the distinctive vocations, lifestyles and traditional cultures of Japanese people have been handed down to this day, including "Agehama-style salt making method" "Aenokoto Ritual" registered as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, and "Kiriko Festival" registered as Japanese Heritage. The Oku-noto Triennale brings together local residents and artists from around the world to create works of art that are unique to Suzu. Travelers visit Satoyama and Satoumi and see soothing scenery as well as traditional culture and lifestyles. Exactly "A foremost art Festival".
