Matsukata Masayoshi: His Life and Nasunogahara
Matsukata Masayoshi, a prominent politician and financier during the Meiji Era, played a significant role in the development of Nasunogahara. To mark the 100th anniversary of his death in 2024, this exhibition will explore Matsukata's life, focusing on his personal character while tracing his political achievements. Furthermore, the exhibition will look at Matsukata's ties with Nasunogahara, highlighting his impact on the area's development and his management of the region’s farms.
For foreign visitors to Japan, several parts of the explanatory panels of the museum are written in English so that they can understand the contents of the exhibits. Visitors will also receive an original sticker when they present the screen of their social networking post in a foreign language at the museum reception desk. Furthermore, visitors can receive discounts and other benefits by visiting both the tourist farm “Nasu Senbonmatsu Farm” and museum. We are working to help foreign visitors to Japan learn about Japanese culture and history through sightseeing in Nasunogahara.
