If you want to discover more about the world of chanoyu, be sure to visit the special exhibition Chanoyu: Tea in the Cultural Life of Kyoto, held at the Kyoto National Museum. The exhibition features masterworks related to the Japanese tea ceremony, including the National Treasure O-Ido tea bowl Kizaemon, which is considered the finest in the world. Reproductions of Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s Golden Tea Room and the Taian Tea Room designed by Sen no Rikyu will also be on display.
