Himeji City will be hosting a night-time walking event on the grounds of Himeji Castle （a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a National Treasure）where visitors can enjoy the autumnal evening breeze, with the aim of creating a new attraction for the cultural heritage site, perfectly suited to such open-air spectacles, as well as to encourage visitors to stay overnight in the city. Under the theme of “Ninja”, the event will run for 10 nights from the end of October. The castle will be magically illuminated to highlight its elegant Japanese charm, and visitors will be guided by lanterns through the historically-preserved castle grounds, where they can enjoy a unique view of the castle that can only be seen at night.
