In addition to viewing the five important national cultural properties Buddha statues at Jorakuji Temple created by the Kamakura-era Buddha sculptor Unkei, this program includes the transcription of the Dharani Sutra, which was stored inside the statues, and the carving of a miniature reproduction of a Buddha statue. Participants can also write their wishes on a moon-shaped nameplate and place them inside virtualized images of Unkei’s Buddha statues to deliver their wishes to the Buddha statues.
