The  renowed nara era Standing Eleven-Headed Kannon Bosatsu (Ekadasamukha), enshrined at Shōrinji Temple in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture, is  a masterpiece of Japanese sculpture because of its solemn expression and well-proportioned and dignified physical expression. Until the first year of the Meiji era, this sculpture was at Ōmiwa Shrine, where is no main shrine  and worships Mount Miwa as its central deity and it conveys the primitive nature worship even today.  This exhibition introduces cultural assets relating Ōmiwa Shrine such as the eleven-headed Kannon Bosatsu at Shōrinji Temple and the nature worship of Mount Miwa.
