Art Festivals & Events

This program is held in conjunction with two Special Exhibitions showing at the Edo-Tokyo Museum: The Mount Fuji Challenges: Hokusai and Hiroshige (April 24 – June 20, 2021) and Splendors of Edo: Rites of the Samurai, Festivals of the Merchants (July 10 – September 20, 2021). Through VR Experiences, photo spots, and a display of Edo-period armors from overseas collections, the program aims to introduce audiences to the works of Hokusai and the culture and lifestyle of his city of birth, Edo, in an easy-to-understand and accessible way.
