Art Festivals & Events

An exhibition featuring works of art from throughout Asia and other areas will be held in Kitakyushu’s Mojiko Retro District, an area filled with retro-styled buildings, mainly dating back to the city’s glory days as an international trading port. During the exhibition, artists gathered through diverse means, such as invitations, public advertisements, and university participation, will create artworks and put them on display, establishing a “wharf of art.” Music events and flea markets centered around art are also planned.
