Fukuoji Horin’s Eye on Nature: Centennial Exhibition
Fukuoji Horin (1920-2012) was a mainstay of the Nihon Bijutsuin (Japan Visual Arts Academy). Maintaining his art despite having lost one eye in an accident, he was awarded the Order of Culture in 2004. The exhibition presents his most important works including the Himalayan Series as well as works capturing his awe of and love for the mountains and rivers of Japan.
