The Changing Seasons in the Hometowns of Shinshu

Taizi Harada is an artist form Suwa City who has taken on the theme of "hometown" and traveled extensively to capture scenes from hometowns around the country, lovingly painting each stone in the stone fence and each petal of the flowers in the field. Works depicting scenes from around Shinshu, Mr. Harada's home, will be exhibited throughout the museum. Some 80 original paintings will be included, showing nature through the seasons, lifestyles of the people, and traditional arts and crafts. Also included is the original artwork for posters announcing the Shinshu Expo and Winter Olympics in Nagano. The exhibition will showcase the scenic beauty and the lives of the people of Shinshu.
