To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Takaoka Manyo Historical Museum--the first specialized museum in Japan with the theme of "Manyoshu"-- a special exhibition will take place displaying the costumes of the Manyo people. With the help of ancient costume researcher Chiyoko Yamaguchi, the costumes will be exhibited along with a corresponding poem from the Manyoshu.
