In ancient Osaka, "Yasoshima-Matsuri" which was one of the enthronement ceremonies of the Emperor was performed in the next year of "Daijo-Sai" (a festival to celebrate the succession of an emperor). It is said that they prayed for national prosperity and peace by attaching the plural spirit of islands in the sea to clothes of the new Emperor. We will hold Commemorative Symposium for the New Era "Ancient Capital Naniwa and Yasoshima Matsuri Ceremony - Visiting the past, thinking of the future of Osaka -" to recall the spritual culture behind the ancient ceremony, and to tell domestic and foreign people about Japanese outlook on nature and spirit. From 2021 onwards, we will brush up these efforts by using cutting-edge technologies such as VR technology.
