Both real and online entertainment come together for a dual experience at World Heritage site Nijo-jo Castle. The social distance measures implemented on-site are a part of the realtime experience, in which visitors can stroll by the paper lantern showcase “Distance Lights” and watch digital firework projection mappings that symbolize prayers for peace and tranquility. Online, viewers can explore the virtual grounds of Nijo-jo Castle through the first-ever full 3DCG rendering of the site. With this technology, participants can tour through parts of the castle that have never been open to the public until now.
