Exhibition of Excavations in the Japanese Archipelago 2020
Around 9,000 sites a year are excavated in the Japanese archipelago every year. Buried cultural properties tell an eloquent story of the history and culture peculiar to each area. The citizenry can interact with but a fraction of the many sites excavated. So, the Agency for Cultural Affairs has held a ‘Exibition of Excavations in the Japanese Archipelago’ each year, to let as many people as possible peruse the product of particularly popular excavations around the country, as soon as possible and in an easy-to-understand manner.
