Meiji Jingu Forest Festival of Art: Celebrate. Pray. Create. – Sustainable Nature and Arts & Culture –

In 2020, Meiji Jingu Shrine celebrates its 100th anniversary. The special event "Meiji Jingu Forest Festival of Art" is a celebration of art and culture, set in the Meiji Shrine's sacred forests. Through the exhibitions and programs held in the forests, we hope the festival will help promote a reconsidering of the relationship between Japanese arts and culture and nature, and introduce a uniquely Japanese aesthetic to the world. While looking toward a sustainable future for forests over the next 100 years, we also would like to extend our support to regional promotion and revitalization activities in disaster-struck areas, and send a message of prayer to the world.
