In commemoration of the establishment of “Ikebana Day” on June 6 Keynote lecture “Nurturing the Mind”

Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Japan Ikebana Art Association is a foundation which is consist of well-known Ikebana artists in Japan. It promotes the spread of Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement. To commemorate the establishment of “Ikebana Day” on June 6, Ms. Atsuko Toyama (Chairman of our Association, former Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) will give a keynote lecture about "Nurturing the Mind". A panel discussion about the future of Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement, will be held with Ms. Senko Ikenobo (Vice Chairman of our Association, Headmaster Designate of Ikenobo), Ms. Akane Teshigahara (Vice Chairman of our Association, Headmaster of Sogetsu School), and Mr. Otsu Koushou (Director of our Association, Headmaster of Miyako Misho School). * The lecture will be held in Japanese.
