“OBON Memories” Painting Contest, looking for paintings on the theme of “Summer Vacation Memories” from elementary and junior high school students nationwide, has been held since 2000.The famous “Hometown Painter” Taizi Harada has been the selection committee chairman from the first time, and the total number of works submitted by children over the past 20 years has approached 1 million.The selected paintings of 2019 will be exposed at “Children's Picture Gallery in Odaiba” to be held at Fuji TV in Tokyo in the spring of 2020.
