The Matsukata Collection: A One-Hundred-Year Odyssey

The exhibition, held to celebrate the museum’s sixtieth anniversary, traces the vicissitudes of the Matsukata Collection, drawing on the latest findings of research on the collection. Many works, which were once in the collection but whose whereabouts were unknown since before the war, are displayed at this exhibition for the first time.
