Netsuke Exhibition
The Kyoto Seishu Netsuke Art Museum shows some 400 works of netsuke—from classical works dating from the Edo period (1603-1867) to contemporary examples-in a samurai residence built in Kyoto in the late Edo period, a backdrop that vividly evokes the atmosphere of an era when netsuke were a personal accessory.
