Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Cultural History

The Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Cultural History, which opened in March 1995, was based on the humanities section of the Kanagawa Prefectural Museum, a comprehensive natural and human sciences museum established in March 1967. Since its inception, it has been the only museum dedicated to comprehensively exploring Kanagawa's culture and history, and it has various museum activities to date. The permanent exhibits are divided into five distinct historical periods of Kanagawa.

Theme 3: The Highways and Popular Culture of Early Modern Times
Theme 4: Modernization and the Opening of Yokohama's Port
Theme 5: Contemporary Kanagawa and Traditional Culture

Audio guides are available in four languages (Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean), while text descriptions are provided in five languages (Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean) through the free app Pocket Curator along with illustrations. Additionally, exhibit descriptions are displayed in English, Chinese, and Korean.
