Held at Tokyo Tower and Tokyo National Museum, two of Tokyo's most popular tourist attractions, this program offers the opportunity to casually experience yose, a Japanese form of vaudeville-style theater, and get closer to Japan's culture of laughter. Outdoor performances will also be staged in Sendai and Iwaki, in the gorgeous setting of lit-up shrines. Accompanied by the sounds of the shakuhachi flute, the audience will be able to enjoy rakugo (comic storytelling), wazuma (magic tricks), daikagura (juggling), and other forms of popular entertainment that flourished during the Edo period. A variety of exciting content will also be streamed on the dedicated YouTube channel. Filled with fun, laughter and amazement, the program is sure to bring a smile to anyone's face.
