Performing Arts

From Kabuki, Bunraku, Noh and Kyogen, Gagaku, Kumiodori and other traditional performing arts of passed down through history to folk performing arts transmitted in local areas, popular urban and itinerant performing arts like Rakugo and Kodan storytelling, as well as modern theater, Japan Cultural Expo presents stage performances that express the spirit of reverence for nature through the four seasons.
The stages of the performances, held in cultural facilities and other public venues, will make use of decoration and cutting-edge video image projection; the sets and properties will give audiences an immediate sense of Japan’s natural landscape and beauty. The projects also include productions to make the content of the programs accessible to overseas visitors as well as experience-style programs.
