Our 8 Themes

Inclusive Society and Coexistence of Cultures

Japan Cultural Expo holds participatory music festivals and art festivals designed to accommodate the participation of people of all ages and nationalities as well as people with disabilities. Providing sign-language interpretation, introducing touchable exhibitions, and placing support staff for needed assistance, the programs are designed to be broadly inclusive, facilitating art appreciation and enjoyment opportunities for as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. An international exchange festival aimed at children and young people is packed with programs on the theme of “Humanity and Nature in Japan” ranging from traditional performing arts to contemporary theater. Programs are planned that will bring together artists from Japan and overseas to perform in the same space and to provide spaces for multiculturally inclusive experience.
